CAPTAIN'S DINING ROOM MAKES CUISINE GOOD FOOD GUIDE 2025

Pub food can be a mixed bag depending on where you go but we reckon we’ve got something happening in the Captain’s Dining Room that’s earning quite a reputation. In other words, it’s right up there with some of those fancy spots over in the capital (and Cuisine think’s so too, they named it in the Cuisine Good Food Guide list for 2024 and again for 2025).

We’re loving these dishes from our latest menu:

• Haku Kingfish ceviche - Tapioca cracker, coconut, coriander, lime, shallot, pickled chilli

•  Homegrown Butchery beef tartar - With a beef fat crumpet, egg yolk miso sauce, smoked mustard, pickled mustard greens

• Equador 76% chocolate pecan parfait, dark chocolate sorbet, Pedro Ximenez, cocoa
